Founded in 1985, the Guest House is a health care and activities center for seniors who need daytime care and company. The group will use the funds to expand its existing music therapy program, hiring a certified music therapist an additional one to two days. The grant will also enable the Guest House to purchase additional instruments.
"Music has always been part of our programming and is one of the most impactful activities we offer," said Dana Chapman, executive director. "We've seen first-hand how music can transport our clients back in time. We are thrilled to have received this grant from AFA and look forward to expanding our music therapy offerings."
