Cumming chamber celebrates self preparedness

CUMMING - Headlines these days fill the media with news of home invasions, car jackings, and mass shootings - and many people are baffled about what to do. <br /> <br /> A company in Cumming has decided to take steps it hopes will make a difference.<br /> Don Garmon and a group of close business partners recently opened DTK Supply & Training at 1015 Union Center Drive. <br /> <br /> "There is a definite need for emergency preparedness and self defense," Garman says. "More and more, people are becoming aware of the dangers and harm that can come to their families if they are not planning ahead." <br /> <br /> DTK Supply & Training offers training classes, a shooting range, and various classes. Preparedness supplies are also sold in a retail store within the facility. <br /> <br /> The most recent Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber Business After Hours was hosted by DTK Supply & Training in conjunction with Georgia Investigations & Protective Services, LLC. More than 100 Chamber members attended.
