The World Orphan Fund was founded in 2011 by 20-year-old R.J. Johnson.
According to the group's website, in just two years it has visited 2,800 orphans at 19 orphanages around the world, and has funded an average of one new project every month, digging wells, feeding children, hiring teachers and creating vocational programs.
