Geyer named parks and rec Coach of the Year

GAINESVILLE - John Geyer was named Gainesville Parks and Recreation's Volunteer Coach of the Year at the Annual Coaches Banquet held Monday night at the Gainesville Civic Center.

Geyer, who has coached with the Agency for 10 years, was recognized for his strong dedication to the youth of Gainesville. In a proclamation issued by Mayor Danny Dunagan, January 28 was proclaimed John Geyer Day in Gainesville.
