Girls basketball: Lady Eagles rebound with win over Stephens

GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls rebounded from a tough loss Saturday with 56-38 win over Stephens County Tuesday in Region 8-AAAA action.

The Lady War Eagles (17-5, 5-1 Region 8-AAAA) opened the game with a 14-8 run and never looked back. They led 33-21 at halftime and then blew the game open in the third quarter to pull away for a 49-31 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Maegan Kenimer paced Chestatee with 17 points. Sam Brown added 15 points and Bridgette Kelly had 10 points for the Lady War Eagles.
