Boys basketball: Elephants win fifth straight in 8-AAAAA

GAINESVILLE -- Gainesville won its fifth straight Region 8-AAAAA contest after beating Cedar Shoals 62-46 Tuesday night in boys basketball action.

Shaquan Cantrell poured in 28 points and to go with six rebounds for Gainesville (11-9, 5-6 Region 8-AAAAA). Luke Moore added 10 points for the Elephants.

Dontai Robinson had 15 points for Cedar Shoals.

Gainesville next will play host to Heritage Wednesday night at home.
