Carla Simmons is one of four people sent to prison for the 2004 robbery-murder of Paul Rucker, 64, at his home off Georgia Highway 326 in Banks County.
Prosecutors say Simmons and the others went to Rucker's home, where he lived alone, and that Simmons agreed to dance for Rucker - whom she had met the day before - and have sex with him in order to distract him while the others took money from his wallet. (See earlier story. Link below.)
Prosecutors says Murphy beat Rucker with a liquor bottle and strangled him after after he and others couldn't find any money.
The Supreme Court ruling upholding Simmons' conviction and sentence was unanimous. (See separate link below.)
