DULUTH -- The Greenville Road Warriors (26-14-2-2) opened up a 4-0 lead on the Gwinnett Gladiators (26-16-1-1) midway through the second period and cruised to a 4-1 win on Monday afternoon at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Greenville got goals from four different skaters while Nathan Lieuwen finished with 24 saves to help lift the Road Warriors back into first place in the ECHL's South Division. Greenville sits two points ahead of Gwinnett with 56 points on the season.

Greenville got on the board just 12 seconds into the first period with a goal by Levi Nelson. Bretton Cameron and Jeremy Gouchie had the assists on the goal.

The two teams clamped down defensively in the third as Domingue turned aside all seven Greenville shots while Lieuwen made five saves for the Road Warriors. Gwinnett finished 1-for-9 on the power play as Greenville went 1-for-4 on the man advantage.

The Gladiators return to the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Friday as they face the Orlando Solar Bears at 7:35 p.m.
