Boys basketball: Dawson Co. clamps down on Fannin Co.

DAWSONVILLE -- The Dawson County boys basketball team cruised past Fannin County 56-25 on Friday in Dawsonville.

The Tigers (16-2, 6-2 Region 7-AAA) held the Rebels to single digit scoring in each quarter, jumping ahead 14-5 after the first quarter.

Gunnar Armstrong paced Dawson County with a game-high 14 points, while Will Anglin added 11.

Will Patterson scored eight points for Fannin.

Dawson County will take on Rabun County at Philips Arena at 2:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the Atlanta Hawks game that day.
