Girls basketball: Branch whips Lanier behind Ivey's career-high

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Flowery Branch opened the game with a 27-10 first quarter and then cruised to a 68-43 win over Lanier Saturday night.

Marissa Ivey scored a career-high 32 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead the Lady Falcons (15-1) who have won straight.

Jacy Ramey added 12 points, six assists, and five rebounds and Breanna Locke had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Lady Falcons outscored Lanier (4-13) in every quarter.

Flowery Branch next will play host to Loganville on Tuesday in Region 8-AAAAA action.
