Class AA No. 1 Wesleyan, third-ranked Greater Atlanta Christian School, and fourth-ranked Lady Dragons of Jefferson met in a key series of matches, along with unranked Rabun County.
Jefferson fell to Wesleyan 25-16, 25-14 in the opening night but rallied behind the strong serving of Daniela Franco to beat Rabun County 25-21, 25-15. In the final match, the Lady Dragons (15-6, 1-2 in region) took the first set against GAC 25-18 but then the Lady Spartans rallied for 25-15, 25-12.
Jefferson next will play host to Monroe Area and Johnson and Thursday in a pair of non-region matches.
