Lake Lanier Water Safety Alliance taking shape

GAINESVILLE - A new arm of the Lake Lanier Association (LLA) dealing with safety on the lake continues to take shape.

The association announced in early July the formation of the Lake Lanier Water Safety Alliance (LLWSA) following several serious accidents on the lake in early summer. (See earlier story.)

Now, the LLA has developed a page on its website devoted to the alliance.

The alliance, according to a posting on the page, will focus on the numerous safety issues involved with operating boats and other watercraft, as well as general water safety.
