Witnesses at the scene said it appeared the rig attempted to cross the tracks ahead of the train and didn't make it in time.
The Georgia State Patrol identified the driver of the tractor trailer as Harry Hunter, 43, of Dacula. Investigating troopers said Hunter failed to yield the right of way while crossing the tracks, and the train hit the left rear corner of the trailer.
No one was injured. No charges will be filed, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
