New pottery exhibit opening at SNCA

SAUTEE - Running through September 23 the twin galleries at Sautee Nacoochee Community Association (SNCA) will offer the "Magnificent MudPottery Exhibit." It features 28 juried gallery potters, clay and ceramic artists and sculptors.

The hallway galleries will highlight ethereal and mystical paintings by invitational artist Jeanie Tomanek and clay artist Dianne Benefield's "Glimpses of Glory" handcrafted leaves series as well as other pieces of pottery.

The twin galleries at the Sautee Nacoochee Center are open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

There will be an Artists Reception Saturday, August 11, 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Also, Saturday, there will be a pottery demonstration at the SNCA Galleries from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
