COLBERT - One of the electricians burned in an accident at a Jackson County industrial park on July 3 has died from his injuries.

A spokesman for Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Madison County confirmed that Scot Reese Parr, 40, died Tuesday from his injuries.

Parr was one of two electricians working on a substation at Valentine Industrial Parkway in Jefferson when a ladder toppled. Both men fell and Parr apparently was trapped inside the transformer, receiving serious burns to his upper body.

Parr was an electrician with EIC of Athens and was a member of the IBEW Local #613, according to the funeral home.

Parr lived in Madison County.
