Hosted by a new Georgia Mountains Farmers Network and the Soque River Watershed Association, the event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-6:00 each day, and will feature 14 farms in Habersham, Rabun, White, Stephens counties and beyond, two community gardens, and optional meal stops with local foods prepared by acclaimed local chefs.
Participants on the Tour can purchase one weekend pass that allows everyone in your car to visit any farms you choose all weekend long.
Among the products featured from the 14 farms on the tour are numerous fruit and vegetables; a dairy cow creamery with milk, cream, butter and ice cream; pastured eggs; certified organic beef; water wheel-milled grains; and associated baked goods.
Other highlights include a farm demonstrating the lost art of horse-powered equipment, an aquaponic farm for tilapia production, and several farms using hoop houses for season extension.

Passes can also be purchased at: SRWA office (downtown Clarkesville), through the Northeast Georgia Locally Grown market website, at the Simply Homegrown farmers market in Clayton on Saturday, at the Root Cellar in Clayton, and at Mountain Fresh Creamery in Clermont. All weekend passes include a $5 gift certificate to the Locally Grown or Simply Homegrown markets.
