GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities say a new witness in an April murder has come forward, giving them enough information to release a composite sketch of a person of interest in the case.

David Sanchez, 47, was shot and killed during the course of a robbery on April 12 in the parking lot of Victory Foods on Industrial Boulevard. He and a co-worker in his check-cashing business had gone to the poultry plant around 1:30 that afternoon. The female co-worker was not injured.

Hall County Sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said investigators have also received information that a 4-door green passenger vehicle might have been involved.

"Investigators have continued to work what few leads they had in this case," said Wilbanks. "They know that this is an important case to the local community - it's an important case to them - and fortunately, this new witness came forward and it's resulted in this composite sketch."

The man pictured in the sketch is said to be about 5'5", weighing 135 lbs. Wilbanks said the witness described the man as being between 19 and 24 years of age. The witness told investigators the man was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Wilbanks said anyone with information about the person of interest in the case is asked to call Hall County Investigations at 770-531-6879.
