Rabun Co. to mark 40th anniversary of 'Deliverance'

CLAYTON - Rabun County, Georgia, and Long Creek, S.C., are preparing to mark the 40th anniversary of the filming and release of the hit movie "Deliverance."

It will be a part of the Chattooga River Festival June 22-24.

The movie - which starred Burt Reynolds, John Voight, Ronny Cox and Ned Beatty - told the story of several Atlanta area men on a rafting trip on the Chattooga River and the dangers they encountered.
