Man remembered for musical talents dies

ATLANTA - A memorial service will be held on the campus of Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, Ga., at 11:00 Saturday for Andrew Jonathon Stephens Allen.

Allen, who was 23, was raised in Gainesville and attended Gainesville City Schools. He graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology just two weeks prior to his death.

Allen was a musician and singer, starring in several productions in both Gainesville and Atlanta and had a long tenure of performance with and support of The Atlanta Boy Choir which started at the age of five. He was scheduled to tour Russia with the group this week.

His musical performances earned state and regional titles for Gainesville High School and were most recently used in supporting recording artists in Atlanta.
