The 2nd Annual First Friday program begins Friday, May 4, in downtown Gainesville and will again feature local musicians and artists the first Friday of each month through September from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
Main Street Manager Regina Mansfield says several stores will be open later and downtown restaurants will offer specials throughout the evening.
Musicians include Brian Ulrich on the saxophone and Two Guys and Six Strings. Artists include everything from watercolors to sketch and portraits. Author Don Wells will be signing his book, Mystery of the Trees. The artists will display their works along Main, Washington, and Bradford streets.
