MARIETTA - Cobb County police say a man has been charged with murder in the March beating death of a former Marine found unconscious in an apartment complex parking lot.

Authorities said 38-year-old Sean DGene Hall of Mableton was arrested Monday at a business in Cherokee County. Police say Hall also has been charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault. Cobb County jail records do not indicate whether he has an attorney.

Police say 34-year-old Zach Gamble attended a friend's birthday party on March 24 at an apartment at the Concord Chase Apartment complex. They say after the party ended early March 25, friends and acquaintances confronted Gamble over an undetermined issue. He received severe head injuries and never regained consciousness. He was taken off life support April 8.
