Pound of pot reportedly seized with arrest of Decatur man

GAINESVILLE - A DeKalb County man has been arrested by Hall County drug agents who say they seized a pound of marijuana with his arrest.

Lt. Scott Ware of the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) says Javari Orlando Shields, 34, of Decatur, is charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute,
Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Use of a Communications Device to Facilitate a Drug Transaction.

Lt. Ware says Shields was arrested in the 3200 Block of Roy Parks Road on Monday.

"...agents with the Gainesville-Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad as well as uniform deputies with the Hall County Sheriff's Office...arrested (Shields) after he delivered approximately one pound of marijuana to a pre-determined location," Ware said.
