ATLANTA -- The junior quarterback of Georgia State University's football team has been dismissed and two other players suspended indefinitely after they were arrested in Atlanta.

WSB-TV reports that GSU coach Bill Curry dismissed quarterback Bo Schlecter. Sophomore placekicker Christian Benvenuto and junior linebacker Dexter Moody were given indefinite suspensions.

The station reports those players were part of a group of men arrested Thursday by Atlanta police in Buckhead and accused of fighting.

Chris Hannaford said that he and his friends were attacked by the GSU players after leaving a bar. Hannaford said the attackers claimed they had guns in their car and would shoot the victims.

The players could not immediately be reached for comment. It was unclear whether they had defense attorneys.
