Moon announces run for Hall Co. commission

GAINESVILLE - Area businessman Eugene Moon has announced his candidacy for Hall County Commission, District 2, a post currently held by Billy Powell.

In a press release issued Tuesday, Moon said in addition to his job as a marketing manager for the retail division of a company that manufactures welding equipment, he and his family are organizers of a charitable organization. Project JOY for the past few years has fed over 500 area residents dinner on Thanksgiving Day.

Moon made a previous run for Congress and he is a former precinct captain for the Hall County Republican Party.
