Tennis: Lakeview boys advance to state; Lady Lions fall in first round of 8-A tourney

The Lakeview Academy boys tennis team advanced to the Class A tournament with a 3-0 win over Athens Christian Monday in the Region 8-A tournament.

The Lions, however, fell to Athens Academy 3-1 in the second round and now will play the loser of the Hebron Christian-Riverside Military Academy match on Tuesday witht he winner getting the No. 3 seed.

The Lady Lions were not as successful falling to George Walton in the first round.
