WDUN in Gainesville and WRDW in Augusta received the annual Pacemaker awards for their strong showing in the cooperative's broadcast news contest in Class B among stations outside the Atlanta market. Atlanta stations WSB and WSB-TV won the Class A Pacemaker awards for the Atlanta market.
In addition to the Pacemaker, WDUN was also recognized with these first-place awards:

BEST WEB SITE:
"AccessNorthGA.com," Staff.
BEST NEWSCAST:
WDUN, "WDUN Morning News," Judd Hickinbotham, Jerry Gunn, Marc Eggers.
The awards for work aired during 2011 were presented Saturday at the GAPBA's annual meeting and awards banquet in Atlanta. The cooperative also honored WSB-TV and WSB radio for their outstanding cooperation in working with the news cooperative in Georgia.
