COMMERCE - A federal judge sentenced a Commerce man to six and a half years in prison this week for selling fake vintage horror movie posters over the Internet.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon handed down the prison sentence to 47-year-old Kerry Haggard Monday, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Haggard pleaded guilty to mail fraud in October on charges he sold fake reproductions from movies such as ``Frankenstein'' for $500 to $5,000.

Prosecutors said Haggard's victims, who were bilked out of more than a million dollars over a four-year span, thought they were buying authentic vintage memorabilia.
