Soccer: Lady Falcons take over top spot in 8-AAAA

BETHLEHEM -- The Flowery Branch girls soccer team took over sole possession of first place in Region 8-AAAA after beating Apalachee 2-0 in a battle for the top spot Friday night.

Kayla Robles had one goal and assisted Julia Sienkiewicz on the Lady Falcons' second goal.

Lauren Dunn recorded the shut out in goal with nine saves.

The Lady Falcons improved to 14-1 overall and 7-1 in region play with the win. They are off until April 17 when they travel to Cedar Shoals.
