The Eagles host their SoCon home opener against Chattanooga after a bye week and will round out the conference home slate with The Citadel, Furman and Western Carolina at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. After their second bye week, GSU faces Appalachian State in Boone, N.C., on Oct. 26.
Following the contest with the Mountaineers, the Eagles return home for two games before closing out the season on the road at Elon and Florida. Georgia Southern hosts rival Furman on Nov. 2 and Western Carolina on Nov. 9.
The Eagles will also play Saint Francis (Pa.) out of the NEC on Sept. 7 to round out the non-conference slate and travel to Samford on Oct. 5. The NCAA allows for 12 games to be played in 2013 and an additional game could be added at a later date.
