Tennis: Falcons beat Winder

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Flowery Branch won a 5-0 match over Winder-Barrow Thursday in Region 8-AAAA that was closer than the score indicated.

The Falcons rallied for two wins after dropping the first set and then won two other close matches.

A.J. Morris beat Efa Osuegbu 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, Cris Dilidili rallied to beat Tyler Tippens 6-7(7-5), 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Beau Millwood rallied to beat Colby Woodwall 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Anthony Monacella and Christopher Hedden took a 7-5, 6-1 win and Isaac Black and Nathan Sengkhammee won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Falcons.
