Tennis: Johnson holds off Forsyth Central

Johnson swept the singles matches in taking a 4-1 win over Forsyth Central Thursday in girls tennis action.

In singles, Maggie Turner beat Maggie Little 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1, Harlee Robson beat Caroline Heard 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2, and Natalie Crenshaw beat Emily Chester 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, Anslie Bass and Riley McNeil won a tough three-set match over Jessi Hamlinand Jessica Vale 6-2, 3-6,6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Forsyth Central got its lone win at No.1 doubles when Cece Louicaire and Chloe Okelo knocked off Ashley Hogan and Karina Rivera 6-4, 6-2.
