Boys playoffs: East Hall falls to Manchester

MANCHESTER -- Manchester opened the game with a 20-11 run and then cruised to a 95-76 win over East Hall Wednesday in the second round of the Class AA state tournament.

The Vikings (22-8) pulled to within 39-31 by halftime but the Blue Devils (21-2) outscored East Hall 56-45 in the second half to pull away for the win.

J.C. Hampton poured in 26 points and Chris Orr had 12 points in their final game for East Hall. Brian Edwards added 24 points for the Vikings.

Manchester had a balanced attack with six players scoring eight or more points, paced Saiquan Terry with 25. Kevis Martin had 17, Damien Turner 16, and Trayvon Lockhart 12 points for the Blue Devils.
J.C. Hampton had 26 points in his final game for East Hall.
