Soccer: Carter records hat trick in Lady Elephants' win

GAINESVILLE -- Hartley Carter scored three goals while Liza Carpenter and Elizabeth Fischer each scored once to lead the Gainesville girls soccer team to a 5-0 shutout of Stephens County Friday night in Region 8B-AAA action at City Park Stadium.

Ashlie Gonzalez recorded two saves in goal for the Lady Elephants (3-1, 1-0 in subregion).

Gainesville next will play host to Monroe Area in another 8B-AAA matchup.
