Liza Carpenter and Hartley Carter each scored three goals for the Lady Red Elephants (1-1). Freshman Jazmin Penado also added two goals, while Anna Youmans added three assists in the win.
Amy Groth scored for Lakeview, while Marcelle Zavala had 22 saves in goal for the Lady Lions.
Lakeview will look to rebound at 5 p.m. Tuesday against Pickens.
Gainesville will play host to Athens Academy on Tuesday.
