8-A tournament: Lions beat George Walton to advance

MONROE -- Austin Montgomery poured in 29 points to lead Lakeview Academy to a 67-57 win over host George Walton Academy Tuesday night in the opening round of the Region 8-A tournament.

The Lions (22-4) next will take on the hebron Christian-Towns County winner in the second round on Friday.

Austin Pearson added 12 points for Lakeview Academy.
