8-AA tournament: Banks boys advance, whip Jackson County

RABBITTOWN -- Banks County snapped a five-game losing streak with a 54-43 win over Jackson County Monday night in the opening round of the Region 8-AA boys tournament at the East Hall gym.

Taylor Foster poured in 18 to lead the Leopards (12-14).

Banks County next will take on Jefferson on Wednesday in the second round at East Hall. the winner will clinch a spot in the state tournament.

Clayton Martin added 10 points for Banks County.

Jared Scott paced Jackson County with 20 points.
