UNDATED - Georgia voters can now cast an in-person advance ballot for the presidential primary.

Voting by mail for the March 6 contest began in late January, but Monday is the first day when residents can turn out to advance voting sites to cast their ballots in person.

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are competing for a share of Georgia's 76 delegates in the GOP primary. That's the most delegates of any of the 10 states holding elections on Super Tuesday.

Elections supervisors feel the turnout may be strong for advance voting in the primary. For example, Gwinnett County Elections Supervisor Lynn Ledford said her office has distributed 800 absentee ballots so far, and she thinks that bodes well for the advance voting period, which runs through March 2.

The new election law also requires voting on a Saturday, which will be on Feb. 25th.

In Hall County, advance voting will take place at the Elections Office at 2285 Brown's Bridge Road in Gainesville from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday through March 2, 2012. Hoours for the Saturday voting day on February 25 will be 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
