Softball: Dade County knocks out Lady Dragons

JEFFERSON -- The Jefferson girls softball team dropped a tough 3-1 decision to Dade County Thursday in Game 3 of the two teams' best-of-three Class AA second round playoff series.

The loss knocked the Lady Dragons (18-12) out of the playoffs.

It is the second time in three years Jefferson has gotten to within one win of advancing to the Elite 8 in Columbus.
