The Georgia Bureau of Investigation medical examiner's office said Friday that the man has been identified as 30-year-old Sean Dugas of Pensacola, Fla. The body was found Monday encased in a plastic storage container filled with concrete.
The identification of the body comes after 31-year-old twin brothers Christopher and William Cormier were charged this week with murder in the death of Dugas. The brothers are also charged with concealing the death.
Winder police officer Chris Cooper says medical examiners declared the death a homicide based on the number and location of the man's injuries.
Police say Dugas had been reported missing and was last heard from on Aug. 27.
Authorities had suspected the victim was Dugas, but they had not confirmed the identity until Friday, pending the outcome of more forensic testing.
