Softball: Lady Rebels sweep Decatur

BLUE RIDGE -- Fannin County moved into the second round of the Class AAA girls softball playoffs after sweeping Decatur Wednesday.

The Lady Rebels whipped the Lady Bulldogs 7-2 in the opening game and then finished off Decatur with a 15-6 win in the second game to win the best-of-three series.

Fannin County next will travel to Jackson County, which swept Cartersville on Wednesday, to take on the Lady Panthers in the second round. The best-of-three series will begin next Wednesday in Jefferson.
