Voter registration deadline nears

UNDATED - Voters have only about a week to register to vote in Georgia in the November general election.

If residents are not registered or are not sure of their registration status, they have only until next Tuesday, October 9th, to act.

Times and places to register vary from county to county; local voter registration offices will have full details on registration procedures.

Absentee ballots are already available and advance voting begins in two weeks, on October 15th.
