The Vikings (14-5, 6-0 in subregion) were led by J.C. Hampton's 20 points. Chriss Orr, who battled injuries earlier in the season, had one of his best games of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings. Hayden Chapman had 17 points for East Hall.
With the loss the Tigers (16-5, 3-3) fell to third place in the subregion behind Rabun County (16-5, 4-2) and the two teams will play Tuesday in Rabun County. Rabun will travel to Fannin County on Saturday.
Agaimst East Hall, Bruce Clark led Dawson County with 18 points. Tyler Dominy added 14 for the Tigers.
East Hall will play host North Hall, which has won 11 straight games, on Saturday.
