Girls basketball: Chestatee snaps losing streak

GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls basketball team snapped its two-game losing streak in Region 8A-AAA with a 51-41 win over Stephens County Friday night.

The Lady War Eagles (13-8, 3-4) led virtually the entire way taking a 13-8 lead after the first quarter. The increased the lead to 29-18 by halftime.

Maegan Kenimer again paced Chestatee with 19 points and seven rebounds. Savanna Long added 14 points and Bridgette Kelly had nine points for the Lady War Eagles.
