The commission voted Tuesday for a rate reduction of $12.50 per customer as part of a settlement between the state and the St. Louis-based Atmos. The overall rate reduction is more than $820,000.
Atmos, one of the country's largest natural-gas distributors, serves 3.2 million residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers in 12 states. The company has about 57,000 customers in Georgia.
