Girls basketball: North Hall stays unbeaten in 8A-AAA

MURRAYVILLE -- North Hall continues to roll in Region 8A-AAA, beating Chestatee 59-54 for its fifth straight win in girls action.

The Lady Trojans (15-5, 6-0 in subregion) outscored Chestatee (12-8, 2-4) 17-12 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

Chestatee opened the game with a 12-9 first quarter but North Hall rallied to take a 29-27 lead into halftime. The Lady War Eagles would tie the game at 42 heading into the fourth quarter.

Sydney Cleveland led North Hall with 14 points. McKenna Rushton had 13 points and sister Mary Kate Rushton 10 points for the Lady Trojans.

Emily Crain led Chestatee with 18 points. Sam Brown added 13 points and Maegan Kenimer had 11 points for the Lady War Eagles.
