Girls basketball: No. 5 Buford routs Westminster; Carter returns

BUFORD -- Class AA fifth-ranked Buford set up a showdown for the overall top spot in Region 6-AA with tenth-ranked Lovett Saturday after demolishing Westminster 78-22 Friday night.

Buford (11-6, 5-0 Region 6A-AA) will travel to take on the Lady Lions (15-3, 6-0 in 6B-AA) for a 4 p.m. tip-off.

The Lady Wolves hit 10 3-pointers against Westminster, including three each from Callie Case, who finished with 14 points, and Kaela davis, who had 13 points.

Buford also got a lift with the return of Andraya Carter, who had eight points in her season-debut following knee surgery.
