Girls basketball: White County knocks off Chestatee

CLEVELAND -- The White County girls snapped a three-game losing streak with a 40-35 win over Chestatee Friday night in Region 8A-AAA play.

The Lady Warriors (7-10, 2-3 in subregion) broke a 4-4 tie after the first quarter outscoring Chestatee 15-11 in the second quarter. White County maintained its lead in the second half.

Chestaee (12-6, 2-3) was paced by Erin Clifford with 11 points.
