Girls basketball: Dawson routs Fannin

BLUE RIDGE -- Dawson County picked up its first subregion win with a convincing 62-30 win over Fannin County Friday in Region 8A-AA action.

The Lady Tigers (10-8, 1-2 in subregion) led 18-11 after the first quarter but blew the game open outscoring the Lady Rebels 26-8 over the second and third quarters.

Carly Gilreath paced dawson County with 16 points. Freshman post player Ashley Parker had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Morgan Huber and Sheyenne Seabolt each had nine points for the Lady Tigers.
