Victim identified in Jackson Co. plane crash

JEFFERSON - Jackson County authorities said the pilot who was killed in the crash of a small plane Sunday was 50-year-old David Rushlow of Commerce.

Jackson County Coroner Keith Whitfield confirmed the identity Monday morning.

NTSB officials continue their investigation of the crash, which happened around 11:45 a.m. Sunday at the Jackson County airport. A witness said it appeared Rushlow was practicing take-offs and landings in small experimental aircraft when the crash occurred.
