Girls basketball: Lady Falcons rally to beat Madison County

DANIELSVILLE -- Flowery Branch used an 11-4 third quarter run to erase a first half deficit and then held on down the stretch for a 42-40 win over Madison County Friday night in Region 8-AAAA girls basketball action.

The Lady Falcons trailed 13-6 after the first quarter and 25-21 at halftime before grabbing the lead 32-29 heading into the fourth quarter.

Tavia Sykes paced Flowery Branch with 20 points, including three 3-pointers ,and hit 5-of-6 free throws. Jacy Ramey and Marissa Ivey each had eight points for the Lady Falcons.
